Stefan Schnell
Chairperson
Stefan Schnell is responsible for the areas of Legal and Compliance, Human Resources, Pensions, Administration and Facilities, Communications as well as the Joint Venture Management Office along with the remaining Joint Venture activities.
After completing his studies in Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Muenster, the Groupe ESC Bordeaux and the Université Grenoble Alpes, Stefan Schnell began his professional career in 1999 as internal auditor at BASF. Over the years, he has held various management positions at BASF globally, including in the US and in Hong Kong. Since 2019 he had been SVP Group Reporting & Performance Management at BASF in Ludwigshafen.
Wintershall Dea is an energy company with a long history, the last chapter of which is now being written – with professionalism, expertise and responsibility.
Larissa Janz
Deputy Chairwoman
Larissa Janz is responsible for the areas of Finance, Accounting and Tax, Information Technology, HSEQ, Sustainability, year-end reporting and M&A.
She studied Finance, Business Administration and Management at the University of Paderborn and the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg. Larissa Janz began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers before she joined Wintershall in 2007. Within the company she held various management positions in Finance, IT and Corporate Audit in Germany, Russia and Qatar. Most recently she led the internal project team in charge of preparing Wintershall Dea after closing.
